"Dear Diary" is a song performed by Japanese artist Namie Amuro. It is the theme song for the film Death Note: Light Up the NEW World.
The song was created specifically for the film. It is officially described as a ballad that is based on the film's title "Light up the NEW world."[1][2]
Along with the insert song "Fighter", it was released on the single "Dear Diary / Fighter" on October 26, 2016. For a limited time, all editions came with a B2 sized poster.
